Industry Engagement

The Centre for Subtropical Design promotes community, government and industry engagement regarding future habitation in warm climates, locally, regionally and globally. It does this through a number of key activities including:

  • Consultation and commercial research
  • ARC and CRC research projects
  • International collaborative projects
  • Research through design charrettes – see Research Projects for more information
  • Subtropical Cities Conference series – events every two years
  • Partnerships with industry, government and other research institutions
  • Publications demonstrating aspects of subtropical design
  • Contributing to the community debate on the future of living in warm climates
  • Awarding the Travel Bursary – see CSD Ambassadors
  • Centre representatives participate in diverse forums and events
